Dorado Country Club Estates is a centrally located neighborhood on Tucson’s east side. Settled along the north side of Speedway between Wilmot and Kolb, the first homes in Dorado Country Club Estates were constructed in 1970. The community of 551 residences ranging from townhomes to single-family dwellings is built around a privately owned, public golf course known as the Dorado Country Club. The community includes 12 subdivisions, each with its own homeowners association to ensure upkeep of public areas and to maintain property values.
The beautiful greens of the Dorado Country Club wind through the community, providing great views of the greens and water features for many homes. The country club offers 18-holes of premiere golf among mature vegetation, shade, and wildlife of the desert with spectacular vistas of the Catalina Mountains. The par 62 course was designed by Ted Robinson, Sr., and opened in 1971. Residents of Dorado Country Club Estates are not required to become country club members, but they do receive a discount on green fees.

While many homes are older, most have seen upgrades and updates including new flooring, granite countertops, and even home extensions. Public schools include Hudlow Elementary, Booth-Fickett Math and Science Magnet School, and Palo Verde High School. A number of private schools and charters are also available from which residents may choose.
