Closing the Purchase of My Tucson Home
You will need to bring the following items to the closing appointment, which will occur at the office of the title company:
- Identification: A valid driver’s license, a state-issued identification card, or a passport
- Funds: You may either bring a Cashier’s Check for the amount due at closing or, more likely, arrange for the funds to be wired from your bank account and the lender.
- Fire and Hazard Insurance: Be sure that you have ordered appropriate insurance on your new home to be issued, and that your insurance agent has sent a binder to the title company, showing that the home has been insured as of the closing date.
- How You Are Taking Title: This should be decided, and the title company informed, prior to closing if possible. You may want to consult an attorney if you have a complicated situation, although the title company can provide you with the usual ways of taking title in Arizona.
